Historical Tanzania central zone is a semi desert climate and large number of grazing livestock animals, where by it experience very small amount of rainfall and long period of hash climate during drying seasons. In past three years central zone has been experience more worse environmental situation, no or very little rainfall periods with long terms periods of draught and increase in day temperature during day time and very hash dry cold wind during night, this indicates that’s the climate keeps changing from semi desert to fully desert on the zone especially Dodoma where the new capital city is located.
In 2019 a group of journalists and other environmental stakeholders so the impact caused by the shifting of the capital city to Dodoma on environmental aspects, and decided to make action on solving the problem, where by organized group started giving education to the community on the important of planting trees resecuring the situation, this program was very successfully where by the community and government provided a great support to date.
While the urban areas do worse than their rural counterparts, there is a still a huge section of the urban and semi urban areas that still clear more natural forests for agriculture work taking advantage to feed the growing population in urban community. With this in mind Habari conservation organization is proposing to recure the situation by fighting deforestation to all reserved areas, water resources, schools, public institution and community in general.
